BREAKING NEWS: NFF SACKS EAGLES' COACH KESHI, APPOINTS AMODU

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has sacked the Super Eagles' head coach- Stephen Keshi. Information reaching us says the decision was taken on Wednesday night by the newly constituted executive committee of the NFF at a meeting at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

In Keshi's place, a former coach of the team- Amodu Shaibu will now take over the affairs of the Super Eagles as caretaker coach. Amodu will be assisted by Gbenga Ogunbote, Aloysius Agu and Salisu Yusuf. While a former player of the team- Garba Lawal will serve as the team's coordinator.

It is no surprise that Keshi's sack was iminent following the abbysmal performance of his team in the ongoing qualifying matches for the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Keshi's three-year contract had however ended after the World Cup last year in Brazil where the team made it to the Knockout stage of the tournament.
